How to Make Teddy Bear Biscuits With Your Kids

As a parent, you want to establish family traditions as soon as possible. Traditions make your family unique and build memories that last a lifetime. When I taught kindergarten, we always did a month-long unit on teddy bears. At the end, we had a tea. Each child invited a stuffed animal as a special guest and we made Teddy Bear Biscuits. When I became a mom, I continued this tradition at home with my kids. They loved it and the warm Teddy Bear Biscuits dipped in honey (of course) just melted in our mouths!

1. Gather the ingredients: 10-ounce tube Hungry Jack refrigerated biscuits, raisins, maraschino cherries, honey.

2. Separate the biscuits. Cut 3 of the biscuits into 1/8's. Leave 6 whole.

 3. For each bear biscuit, round 3 of the small dough pieces for the ears and nose. Firmly press onto the face.

4. Press in raisins for eyes and a nose.

5. Add 1/4 maraschino cherry for each ear.

 6. Bake on a cookie sheet for 8-10 minutes at 400 degrees until golden brown. Enjoy!

To fully enjoy your teddy bear tea and biscuits, you need a solid collection of bear books to read. This one is ideal. It's fast-paced, funny, and proves that everybody needs a teddy.
